What matters is not the diagnosis alone, but what you specifically find difficult in everyday life.

What is the difference from physiotherapy in neurological rehabilitation?

Accepted Answer

Physiotherapy focuses on mobility, strength and gait. Occupational therapy starts from the activity: being able to dress, cook or write on your own again – in an adapted way if necessary. That also covers perception and concentration, assistive devices and the environment. The two complement each other.

Does therapy continue at home after rehabilitation?

Accepted Answer

That is exactly what home visits are for. After inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation there is often a gap until a therapy slot becomes available. We continue the treatment where you live – with your furniture, your kitchen, your routes. What works here does not have to be transferred into daily life first.

Often fine motor skills and hand function, perception and concentration, and dealing with fatigue: how to divide your energy across the day, which activities can be simplified, where assistive devices take the load off. Because MS progresses in relapses and phases, we adjust the goals regularly to the current situation.
